MEET THE BAND

Rudy and Katie grew up singing together as siblings and their dad encouraged them to start a band together. It took one practice gig to realize that the ever-talented Rudy would have been able to carry the musical part but there was no way Katie could have kept up with the rhythm department. They had their eyes on a mutual friend with a LOT of personality and was extremely talented on drums. Rudy saw a post from James' Facebook profile that he missed playing drums and wanted an outlet for drumming again.  Rudy IMMEDIATELY called Katie to ask if they could ask him to be in the band. Katie, who is not a fan of change, said they could let him play in a gig, and see how it goes. No surprise, the guy was amazing and the band had to have him!

A few years later, Rudy complained he was tired of being the only one on an instrument and needed someone to help carry the musical leads. He met a coworker at a company Christmas tree decorating event who claimed to play violin.  After hearing her play, he asked the rest of the band to meet her... If they wanted a violin, they could have her for a few gigs and if they didn't, they wouldn't keep her on. He told us she was new to Fort Wayne and needed an outlet to meet people and play music, and he knew Katie would NOT approve of adding ANOTHER person in the band... Yet again, it took one gig until the three-piece band become four!

Now we have Meganne Smith shredding the violin, mandolin, and bass guitar, our very own (not the famous) James Taylor being savage on the drums 🥁, Rudy Mahara II killing it on vocals and lead guitar, and Katie Randolph leaving you wanting more with her vocal brilliance!
